IC North American Junior Challenge

The International Club (IC) around the world helps to promote “sportsmanship, international competition and friendship across the net.” Entry to the Club is not automatic but by invitation only.

Every two years, The IC sponsors an International Junior Challenge for 16 and under players. Kit Spencer, the current President of the IC with sponsors Mark Knowles, Vicky Knowles, Barrie Farrington, Kit Spencer and Mas Kimball has selected the team of Gabrielle Moxey, Kalotina Klonaris, Johnathan Taylor,and  Kevin Major.

The team will be travelling on an all expense paid trip with coach Mas Kimball, to The Chris Evert Tennis Academy, Boca Raton, Florida where they will reside at The Hilton Hotel and Suites, September 17th - 20th, 2009.

They will compete against teams from America, Mexico, and Canada. The winning team will then move on to play in the World Finals.

The Bahamas joined players from the other countries to assist with a 'Quickstart' event. It is a program to get youngsters interested in playing tennis.
