IC Doubles Week Competition
Presentation Dinner - Friday
|
All good things come to an end and so it was with the IC Bahamas Doubles Week. Speeches were made (short and sweet), presentations and gifts were given and entertainment was provided not only by "Action Man" Jackson, our local limbo dancer but also by several of the IC groups.
The British regaled us with their song and dance rendition of "Singing in the Rain", the Barbadians sang and danced to a traditional Caribbean song "Yellow Bird", and the Austrians sang their version of the "Cuckoo" song with knee slapping, audience participation and Werner Kirschbaum's accompaniment on his clarinet! |
"Action Man" Jackson defies the flames as he slithers beneath
several flaming limbos sticks barely a foot off the floor. |
It was a fitting ending to a week of competitive tennis and more importantly the renewing of old friendships and the making of new ones. It truly exemplified the IC motto of "Hands across the net, friendship across the ocean".
